                                               The History of Graphology

Sumerian merchants were the first to codify their transactions in a recognizable script in 3000BC and the earliest understanding of an individual's character from their handwriting goes back to 500BC when Confucius warned “Beware of a man whose writing sways like a reed in the wind”.

The Italians in the early 17^th century were the founders of modern graphology – with activity centred on the city of Bologna, home of the oldest university and where graphology is still taught today. It is from Italy that graphology has become a recognized subject in the study of human nature and identity all over the world.

While describing the power of the Science of Graphology, the verse says that it (the Science of Graphology) allays all doubts about the person or his text message.  The science also reveals the meaning hidden in the text - Something like factual lies or other facts, which are not mentioned in the text.  While further describing the strength of the science, verse says that the science is as good as World’s eye.  It can reveal everything to the world.  And the one who is not willing to use it, is as good as a blind.

According to Mr Avirup Mitra , the owner of Investigation Bureau a leading private detective agency in Kolkata, Graphology evolved back in  India and has been one of the most authentic ways  for forensic experts to judge a person’s  behavioral pattern , attitude and character. Analyzing one’s handwriting, an expert graphologist can even judge a person like reading a book.

It can be a very powerful tool for counselling a person, rectify a person, helping a person to choose a right profession or right partner and much more. Recently , there has been a lot of cases worldwide where teenagers are sinking into depression due to academic pressures , social pressure or failed relationships. They are becoming suicidal and this is where Graphology can help them. Schools are using Graphology to monitor the teenage students and by knowing their nature they can have their counseling sessions. Apart from the schools, Graphology is also being used to analyze a person’s behavioral pattern for matrimonial compatibility. Career guidance can be done based on handwriting and expert Graphologists can even predict health related issues.

Learning Graphology is becoming popular day by day as analyzing one’s handwriting and then reading the person character, health; thinking can have immense scope as a career. Career in Forensic Department to deal with criminals, Career in academic fields have immense scope in future. Even parents are now taking advantage of graphology to evaluate their children’s behaviour, mentality and then think of necessary remedial actions.

 It was noticed in a school that a child is not doing well in his exam and after analyzing his handwriting; it was found that somewhere inside, the child feels lonely and neglected by his close ones and that made him move into depression. Immediate remedial actions have been taken to get the child of depression. In one more example a person’s handwriting revealed that she was unable to forget some tragic incident of her life and was sinking into pathos. .It was later discovered that her child’s death was the incident which she could not get out of.

There are many more examples where reading and analyzing handwriting has made the expert Graphologist get inside the mind of a person and dig out the lesser known facts. Character Analysis using Graphology has been a very old science and using it by an expert can make miracles which may be hard to believe.
